What PCOS is?

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is a condition where there is a hormonal imbalance. PCOS means that your ovaries are under a lot of pressure and that is why they are not functioning properly. 


Let’s understand why? 

One in every five women in India has PCOS and that’s because Indian women, in particular, have to go through a lot of challenges social as well as physiological. Starting with the carrier then the pressure to get married, have kids and adjust to the family. These challenges finally lead to stress and this stress is visible in acne, unwanted hair, weight gain, and irregular periods. 


PCOS is nothing but a sign that things in our life are not under control. PCOS is not a fatal condition yet, but it is a yellow sign that we are leading towards other fatal conditions like Type 2 diabetes, heart failure, depression, and high body fat. So, before it gets worse, how do we treat PCOS? Two things are essential in the treatment aspect of PCOS first and foremost is lifestyle modification. Adopting a healthy lifestyle involves taking a healthy diet which includes lots of fruits and fresh vegetables and more critical regular physical activity. Which helps in reducing weight. Yes, losing even 5-7 kgs can regulate your periods and helps to get pregnant. Losing fat will help your ovary perform better.  


But we know that losing fat is not easy at all but that’s not a problem the real problem is that there are people who know that it is difficult for you so to make a quick bug they are trying to sell you a one-month transformation program like lose 10 kgs in a month or lose 10 kgs in 5 sitting or crash dieting etc. tec. Which are not healthy for your body at all? So today we are not gonna talk about any crash diet. 


So if you want to control all these problems you must take care of four things. Firstly DIET Weight loss is 80% diet and by diet, I don’t mean soup or salad or boiled vegetables. Your ovaries are at the stage when they need all the essential nutrients more than ever. And that is possible only if you follow these four basic food guidelines. 


  1. Throw away anything that says fat-free or low fat because without essential fats there is no absorption of fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, and E. which are required by your body.

  2. You know this already. No packed cereals, processed food, ready-to-eat food, colas, chips, frozen, or juices. And ill tell you why Our body is made of food that we eat and if we eat frozen processed imagine what our body be like.

  3. Make sure you include things like whole grains. Dals, paneer, green veggies, idli, dos, fish, eggs, walnuts, and flaxseeds are in your diet. 

  4. Eat your food on time. 


The second thing that you need to take care of is exercise. You knew I going to say this but hoping I wouldn’t because I know you don’t like working out and that is a problem. Because Exercise is spoused to be playtime. As little girls, we loved playing running, skipping, and climbing tries but Once we get puberty we said goodbye to all physical activity. The only way to regular periods is through regular exercise. And don’t worry I'm not even asking you to join the gym. Start walking briskly walking pick up badminton or any other sport that you like because if you want your overlay to be healthy you have to work out. 


The third thing to treat your PCOS is SLEEP 


When did you sleep last night? 

Your body didn’t get any time to absorb nutrients, repair, and heal “for weight lose Kaise Hoga” if you won't see a weight loss result then you have to sleep at the same time and wake up at the same time every single day. 


Fourth and the final thing to control PCOS

We put on weight because we often don’t have any control over what we eat. We eat either because we are too stressed or we are seeking some sort of emotional fulfilment.
